Warranty and Return policy
Limited lifetime warranty: Your reel purchased from Japan Tackle is under limited lifetime warranty. We, Shimano, or Daiwa do not issue warranty card, but all purchases are under warranty. The warranty covers cost for repair or replacement, if a reel breaks because of manufacturing defection, or design flaw. It includes wide range of strange problems, and please contact us freely if you see any problem. Manufacturers will stop carrying parts after about 6 years of sales, and 6 years is good to be considered as the lifetime of fishing reel.
For the warranty repair services, please pay for shipping fees because it is not covered by the warranty. Warranty service is upon manufacturer's inspection, and the broken product should be sent back to factory first. Japanese manufacturers will not send you replacement reels, and it always fix the broken reel. We do offer warranty services to reel sold by somebody who doesn't take care of you, at small charges. Please contact us freely if you are in trouble. You may save a lot by using warranty for repair services.

Shipping fee is about $20 for a bait casting reel via air mail.
To the shipping label, please write "broken Japanese fishing reel" to prevent import tax for us to receive your package.
We will replace products with initial defection for free, and please contact us within 7 days of receipt of the product. Please check your purchase thoroughly when you receive your purchase. If it has passed more than a week from receipt of product, we may not guarantee the free replacement, because we may not determine the damage is from initial or use.
If you return purchase because the product is not what you may expect from our web description, please contact us within 7 days of receipt of the product. We might charge 10% re-stocking fee in the case that there is not a sound reason for the return. We accept product exchange for the instance, and we do not charge the restocking fees, but please pay for shipping fees.
We will accept trade-in reel only when you purchase a new fishing reel. We may not always accept trade-ins, especially when it is 1.an oversea (non-JDM) model, 2. very old model, 3. limited model, that we may not offer fair value for it. In the case, we recommend you to sell it on an auction site.
Attention : We don't sell any products on e-bay. E-bay seller using our name is not related to us, and we do not offer any warranty or guarantee to the product sold from the seller.
