Ball Bearings for fishing reels
Ball bearings are used to reduce frictions in fishing reels. And you may add more casting distance by reducing friction, especially around spools. There are a few types of bearings and please understand them well before you invest in expensive products. Size: inner D. x outer D. x thickness in mm.

Stainless steel bearings are the standard product. Those we deal with are high-quality bearings from Japanese manufacturers, and they conform to Japan Industrial Standard class 4 (JIS-4). The JIS-4 is between the ABEC rating 3 and 5 of USA. |
| Anti-rust bearings are from Shimano or Daiwa as SA-RB, A-RB, and CRBB. They are more resistant to saltwater than stainless steel, and more suitable for saltwater / blackish water fishing. | |
| SIC ceramic bearings are only for high-speed, light-load use, suitable for casting competitions, or freshwater fishing. They are rated at ABEC 7. These bearings have very thin gaps between balls and laces, and spins with very little wobbling at fast speed. However, the little gap requires high level of lubrication control, or balls will get stuck by debris. Frequent maintenance is required. |
