Repair and maintenance
We have strong after service systems for Japan domestic model reels, because we believe the after care is very important for our customers.
First, all initially defective reels will be fixed, or replaced for free. We support original warranty of manufacturers, and reel manufacturers offer limited life time warranty. In the case any problem happens because of defection, you may have it fixed free of charge. (Only shipping may be charged)
For the reels with problem afterwards, we offer following service options.
 | The first option is the services from manufacturers, Daiwa and Shimano Japan. In this case you may expect the highest level of services, but you need to pay the oversea shipping to send in/out your reels to/from us. Turn around time is about 4-6 weeks, and please expect a little longer at winter-spring. All warranty repair services should be conducted through original manufacturers. US importer like US Shimano may not handle Japanese models for warranty, and please contact us. |
| The second option is parts sales. We deliver you parts of JDM model and please contact us by Email. For old, discontinued models, manufacturers will stop carrying replacements after 6 years from the last production. However, some parts for newer models are interchangeable to the old models and you may fix the old one with the new parts. Please inquire us for the parts matching. |
| The third option is service from your local reel repairer. Most mechanical parts are interchangeable between JDM and export models, and it is possible for local tackle repairer to service your JDM reels. |
REMEMBER: To minimize the maintenance cost and to have comfortable fishing experiences, please clean and lubricate your reels regularly. Shimano Japan reels are more delicate than others.
