Shimano Scorpion 1500/1501 discontinued
Comparable US model: Curado 200BSF Discontinued in 2001, at the same time with Metanium XT, Scorpion 1500/01 proved to be one of the very durable performing reel with large line capacity. Its SF spool spins more freely for longer cast. |

Jun's comment: Sturdy performing reel, good buy for the price. Easy to service with. Great for relatively heavier lures and jigs, more than 3/8 oz. For light lures, I recommend its little brother Scorpion 1000/1001 reels, Metanium/Chronarch and Daiwa TD reels.
