Shimano releases its high-end deep sea vertical jigging reel, All New Ocea Jigger '11/'12 model. New Ocea Jigger has full aluminum machine-cut bodies, over-sized X-Ship gear systems and large drag washers to serve well for deep sea anglers.

Its all components are built for heavy use, but the reel is engineered in light weight for the performance. Its main target usage, vertical metal jigging depth ranging from 50-300m requires quite difficult ambivalent requirements, weightlessness, smoothness, and toughness, and the New Ocea Jigger achieves them at very high standard, especially its smoothness is amazing.

Its machine-cut body is small and quite easy to hold in palm. Its 1000/1500 size models have small body similar to that of bait casting reels in Shimano Calcutta CT100 size.  SA-RB anti-rust bearings support the reel to perform very smooth even with saltwater.
