For breams in Australia, relatively small baits with some diving depth are effective. First choice will be vibration, and shad baits in 30-60mm size, 2-5g. Small diving minnow, and crank baits are also effective. Breams are known to have great eye sight, and thin monofilament lines are recommended.

The same selections are also very effective for trout fishing.

You may also catch them by top water, or surface baits at shallow water.

Thinking the bait size, spinning outfit with Daiwa 1500-2004, Shimano 1000-2000 reels and UL-L powered rods are recommended.
